All vintage enthusiasts heard stereotypical stories of finding 1965 Fender Jazzmaster Guitar in garage sales unincorporated area in parent company or attics. It was purchased new by the grandfather of the owner in 1965. He died in 1968, and the 1965 Fender Jazzmaster guitar was forgotten. Recently, the grandmother sent the owner and the family discovered the guitar still stored in its original black case. Reportedly, the case itself has not been opened since 1968, which has helped preserve the instrument for the next 42 years. The original flat wound “Spanish” guitar strings were still on it, and finish are gone a smooth, velvety. The neck has been exceptionally well preserved, with very little wear on the glossy finish.
