A Fender Jazzmaster Japanese buyer review that everything is good. The pickups give out a great clean tone and distorted tone. He mostly play RATM and the like but don’t really like the nu-metal guitars like Ibanez. To my surprise it’s very versatile and great for any genre. If you want to go into details, Americans could be built with a little more attention to detail.
The curves are a little better on the Fender Jazzmaster Japanese, finishes may or may not be better, and the fretwork can be (but may not be as) better. I think wood is different, but there is a sponge between the micro and the body anyhow, wood does not touch the tone too. The main thing is as above microphones. The American Jazzmaster pickups are described it as very warm and musical, and the Fender Jazzmaster Japanese is more strat-like, very tripling, and returned in an unpleasant way when I had them. I thought the Jap microphones in the stadium seemed a Danolectro or something, and that is totally not what you want to sound like a Jazzmaster.
